Daniel Joseph McCue

Fremont:  Daniel J. McCue, 79, entered into rest peacefully at his home Tuesday, June 6, 2017.  He was born July 24, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Everett C. McCue and Mary Helen (Lindberg) McCue McEwen. He married Donna Rae (Gentile) on August 26, 1977 in Monroe, Michigan and she survives.  Dan was the former owner of State Line Tobacco and North Star Vending.  He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola.  He loved fishing and hunting and was an avid duck hunter. His passion was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren  and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife  Donna of 39 years, two sons and three daughters; Jon Michael McCue of Florida and James Raymond Pool of Toledo, Ohio, Nichelle Anne Carpenter of Fremont, Kristine Marie(Jacob) Alleshouse of Union City, Michigan, and Alicia Rae McCue of Quincy, Michigan.  Also surviving are two grandsons and four granddaughters; Jordan D. Robbins, Jacob D. Bisel,  Amber N. Carpenter, Danielle M. Carpenter, Abigail J. Pool and Gabriella J. Pool and five great-grandchildren and one sister; Linda Kay Hollonsyde of Steilacoom, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Joshua M. Robbins and one great-grandson, Samuel J. Carpenter.

Services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 700 West Maumee, Angola at 11 AM with Father Robert G. Showers officiating.  Additional calling 1 hour  prior to services.  According to Daniel’s wishes cremation will follow.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St. Angola from 3 PM to 7 PM.
