Deloris M. (Treesh) Diehm

Auburn:  Deloris M. Diehm, 95, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne.  She was born on August 16, 1920 in Garrett, IN. to the late Ray E. and Mildred E. (Hoot) Treesh.  She graduated from Avilla High School in 1937 and Wayne Beauty College in 1939.  She was proud owner and operator of Deloris Beauty Shop in Auburn starting in 1940 until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, and former member of Guys & Gals Dance Club and loved bowling many years on various leagues in Auburn.  She treasured her family as the center of her life and believed that everything happened for a reason and everything had a way of working out.  She was the best role model to all her family always offering a warm hug, genuine smile and positive attitude. She was a friend to all that met her and generously welcomed them into her home. She only thought the best of everyone she met and offered her best in return. She was a true optimist. Everyone will miss her home cooked meals and her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Deloris married Norman W. Diehm on February 8, 1941, in Avilla.  He preceded her in death August 19, 1995. She is survived by 2 sons; Roger (Carole) Diehm, Lake Pleasant, Ron (Barb) Diehm, Carmel, IN.; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Darrell (Delores) Treesh, Lake Wales, FL.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister-in-law Donna Treesh.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 19, 2016 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St. Angola, IN. with calling one hour prior to services starting at 10:00a.m. and also visitation from 5 – 8 pm. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the funeral home.  Rev. Clinton W. Faupel, grandson- in-law will officiate.  Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett. Family requests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1801 N.
