Elizabeth J. Johnson

Angola:  Elizabeth J. Johnson, 92, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital.  She was born January 17, 1924 in Newark, OH. to the late Thomas and Nina (Kinney) Flannigan.  She graduated from Miami of  Ohio University in Oxford, OH. with a Bachelors Degree in Education.  She married Cyril Raymond Johnson on February 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death  March 19, 1990.  She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola.  Elizabeth was an avid gardner, loved reading, music, cooking and spending time with the grandkids being known as “grandma shorty”.Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law; Cyril Raymond (Bobbi) Johnson of New Richmond, Wisconsin,  three daughters and son-in-laws; Nina (Randy) Ryden of Hazelhurst, Wisconsin,  Liz (Jeff) Rude of Angola and Kathleen (George) Kiser of Glen Carbon, IL., ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers; Tom, Jimmy and Paul Flannigan.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola at 2 PM. with Father Bernie Zajdel officiating.
