Iva G. (Shepherd) Davis

Fort Wayne:  Iva G. Davis, 87, formerly of Butler, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born March 18, 1930 in Fort Wayne to the late John and Nettie May (Hunter) Shepherd. Iva graduated from Bullard and Elmhurst High Schools.  She worked for Ballastran Transformer Company in Fort Wayne for 16 years.  Iva and her husband Raymond moved to Butler in 1970 and owned the D/A Trailer Court for 37 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Raymond J. Davis whom she married on January 24, 1947 in the Chapel in the Garden in Angola, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2006.  Iva was a member of the Legion Auxiliary Post 202 in Butler.

Surviving is a daughter , Patricia Davis of Fort Wayne.  She was preceded in death by three brothers;  George, Russell, and Charles “Chuck” Shepherd and two sisters;  Marie Engelman and Letha Eastes.

 Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at H.E. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 212 N. Broadway, Butler with visitation 1 hour prior to service time.  Pastor Dale Rabineau of Christ’s Church at Butler will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Butler Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Donor’s Choice.
