Nancy L. Wilcox

Fort Wayne:  Nancy L. Wilcox, 78, formerly of Angola died Friday, February 17, 2017 at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne.  She was born on August 16, 1938 in Hamilton, Indiana to the late Clellie and Gladys (Everett) Smart.  She worked at Pleasant Lake Elementary School as a secretary to the principal and later at Brammel in Angola. She married Paul L. Wilcox on November 13, 1956 at the Fremont United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2013.  Nancy was an avid IU basketball fan, enjoyed wintering in Florida and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving is one son; Michael L. (Jennifer) Wilcox of Angola, three daughters;  Cindy K. Calloway of Fishers, Indiana, Loree (Glenn) Ralston of Venice, Florida and Kelli J. (Josh) Keaton of Fort Wayne.  Also surviving are four grandchildren;  Kristopher Olis, Justin Howard, Mitchell Howard and Amber Doyle along with three great-grandchildren.  Two brothers;  David Smart of Angola and Clellie Smart, Jr. of North Carolina.  Two sisters; Sharon Wells of Florida, and Dorothy Hays of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by a brother Larry Smart and two sisters; Patsy Michael and Phyllis Hutchins.

Services will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at 2 pm at the H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West Street, Angola, with Pastor Eric Bingaman of Pleasant View Church of Christ officiating.  Visitation is Monday, February 20, 2017 at the funeral home from 11 am to 2 pm.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
