Auburn: Richard James (Rich) Miller, 71, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home in Auburn. He was born March 14, 1944 at McCray Hospital, Kendallville to the late Richard Keith and Idress M. (Hoot) Miller. He was a 1962 graduate of Auburn High School. He retired in 2005 as Water Superintendent for the City of Auburn. He enjoyed the outdoors and was well known throughout the Bass Fishing Leagues as a very accomplished bass fisherman. He was a member of Bass & Buddies – Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Sons of the American Legion Squad 97, Auburn.
He is survived by one daughter; Tracey D. Dove and Mick Egly, of St. Joe, one son; Brent A. Miller, Bluffton, Ind. Grandchildren; Dane Richard W. Miller, Kendallville, Olivia L. Miller, Ft. Wayne, Colin S. Dove, St. Joe and Conner L. Dove, St. Joe. Also one sister and brother – in- law; Mary Ann and R. Jon Johnson, Angola.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 from 3-7p.m. at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 212 N. Broadway, Butler, IN. Burial will be held at a later date.
