Butler: Treeva R. Ulm, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home. She was born on June 12, 1922 in Butler to the late Chester “Chet” and Nancy (Bryant) Houck. She was a graduate of Butler High School, class of 1940 . She married R. Keith Ulm on November 14, 1942 in Tennessee and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1998. Treeva was a member of the Butler Church of Christ, where she played the organ and piano for many years , along with playing the organ for H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home.
She was a member of the church CWO group. She enjoyed cooking, baking, cleaning the house, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She would bake cookies and visit the nursing homes. Surviving are two sons; Terry (Janalee) Ulm and Bruce (Debbie) Ulm both of Butler. Two daughters; Robyn (Keith) Smith of Butler and Nancy (Nick) Miu of Applegate, Michigan. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Hanes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Butler Church of Christ, 173 W. Oak St., Butler with Pastor Scott Lanning officiating. Burial will follow at the Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 6 – 8 PM at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 212 N. Broadway, Butler.
