Warren H. Green

Butler:  Warren H. Green, 84, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at his home in Butler. He was born August 24, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Floyd and Bernice (Anderson) Green. Mr. Green served in the Army National Guard for 3 years.  He worked for R.P. Wakefield in Waterloo for 25 years retiring in 1997.  He married Beatrice (Zimmerman) Green on July 29, 1974 in Tiffin, OH and she survives. He was a member of Butler American Legion Post 202.He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and bowling.

Surviving is his wife; Beatrice Green of Butler, two sons; David Green of Albemarle, NC and Kevin Green, Two stepsons; Timothy Green of Butler and Edward (Balinda) Zimmerman of Milan, MI., one daughter; Elizabeth (Walter) Burkett of Albemarle, NC., two step-daughters; Betty Welty and Kathy (Greg) Baker both of Butler, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-daughter; Barbara Swann and two sisters; Lillian Brokaw and Doris Fahrni and one grandson; Mark Green.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 212 N. Broadway, Butler, with calling one hour prior to services.  Pastor Dale Rabineau  of Christ’s Church will officiate.  Visitation for Warren Green will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Family requests memorials be given to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, 6316 Mutual Dr. Ft. Wayne, IN. 46825  or DeKalb Co. Humane Shelter, 5221 U.S. Hwy. 6, Butler, IN. 46721.
