Amy Sue (Harris) Rice

Edon, OH.:  Amy Sue (Harris) Rice, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019.  She was born Monday, July 1, 1957 in Fort Wayne to the late Jane H. (Wagner) Harris. She attended the Edon Church of Christ. She enjoyed making pies, bowling, canning and loved pigs. She was a devoted caretaker to her children and grandchildren.  She married Steven M. Rice on August 12, 1988 at the Merriam Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Merriam, IN. and he survives. She is also survived by seven daughters and four sons; Laura M. (Brad) Murray of Ft. Wayne, Amy Jo (Bill) Brisentine of Angola, Shelia A. (Edward) Maillard of Stroh, Alicia M. (Jim) Spurlin of Edgerton, Misty J. Rice of Edon, Kayla M. Rice of Avilla and Catelyn N. Rice of Edon, sons; Steve M. Rice Jr. of Angola, Michael R. (Jaime) Hanni-Wells of Findley, OH., Brodie A. Rice of Hamilton and Justin M. Rice of Edon.  Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, one sister; Sherrie Davis-Flaig of Stroh and one brother; Terry Kemerly of Ft. Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one daughter; Brandy L. Rice and two sons; Ernest L. Hanni, Jr. and Joshua R. Rice.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, November 18, 2019 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St. Angola with visitation 1 hour prior to services beginning at 10 am.  Pastor David LaDuke of Edon Church of Christ will officiate.  Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be 1-4pm Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the funeral home.
