Blanche Ann (Haddox) Hunter

Angola: Blanche Hunter, age 71, of Angola passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola. She was born November 9, 1945 in Galion, Ohio to the late Fred Haddox and Marie (Duncan) Pruitt. She was a 1963 graduate of Madison High School, Mansfield, OH. She continued her education graduating from Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, RI. in 1966 and  received her bachelor degree from Ohio University in 2002. She retired after 8 years of service to Council on Aging, Angola. She enjoyed teaching bible study at Council on Aging and Northern Lakes. She also served many years as a Christian youth leader. She was a member of Christ Life Tabernacle in Angola. Her greatest passion was spoiling and loving her grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter; Kandee (Kevin) Heisler, Angola. Also three grandchildren; Kandee(Nathan) Stroud, Pleasant Lake, In., Samantha Bennett, Angola and Hunter Heisler, Angola., three great-grandchildren; Josiah, Natalee and Sofia Stroud. Also surviving is one brother; Tom Haddox, Semmes, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters; Angela Marie and Anita Pearl Hunter, three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 3-7PM at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St. in Angola. A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00AM at H. E Johnson & Sons Funeral Home of Angola, additional calling beginning at 10:00AM till service time.  Nathan Stroud of the Christ Life Tabernacle will officiate. Burial will follow in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be given to Christ Life Tabernacle, 1200 S. Wayne St. Angola.
