Angola: James R. Johnson, 80, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born May 11, 1938 in Chicago, IL. to the late Laverne (Sippey) Burnham and later was adopted by Art Johnson. He married Linda M. (Clark) Johnson on September 26, 1959 in Fort Wayne, and she survives. Jim owned and operated the Flint Gun Shop for 50 years, 1968-2018. He did a lot of carpentry work for himself and friends.He was a very skilled carpenter, and was a member of the Carpenters Local #232 in Fort Wayne. Jim was also a very talented artist of Western culture, he loved the Southwest and went hunting in Wyoming for many years. Jim was a member of the NRA and Abate Motorcycle Club. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving is 1 daughter; Tamera S. Johnson of Fremont, and 1 son; James “Rick” Johnson of Florida. Also surviving are 2 grandsons; Seth Wagner of Fort Polk, La. and Shawn Wagner of Angola, 1granddaughter; Paige Villalba of Florida and 1 great grandchild.
