Butler: Judith K. Burnett, 74, of Butler, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born February 13, 1944 in Auburn to the late Richard T. and Pauline (Norrick) Burkmire. She was a 1962 graduate of Butler High School.
Judith married Joseph A. Burnett, Jr. on June 8, 1962 at the Butler Church of the Nazarene in Butler. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2007.
She worked for Dura and Autoline Industries (formerly Universal Tool) for 43 years, retiring in 2011.
Judith loved her dogs and cats, gardening, listening to Elvis and fiddle music. She was a member of the Butler Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law; Tony J. and Lauri Burnett of Indianapolis, IN. and one daughter; Tina Marie Wallar of Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren with the fourth arriving soon, one brother Charles (Mary Anne) Burkmire of Norman, OK. and one sister Jane (Blaine) Alleshouse of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, one brother, Jimmie Burkmire and one sister, Margaret Burkmire.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at the H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 212 N. Broadway, Butler with Pastor Paul Patton of the Butler Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon till 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
