Judith Elaine (Wiley) Underwood

Angola:  Judith Elaine (Wiley) Underwood, 72 of Angola passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at her home in Angola. She was born December 4, 1945 in Auburn to the late Orville L. and Opal L. (Rinehold) Wiley.  She was a 1964 graduate of Angola High School. During High School she was a member of the Choir, Swing Choir, Booster Club and participated in 4-H Club. She had worked at Simley’s  Corp. for 16 yrs. and Indiana Marine Products for 17 yrs. both in Angola.   She was a member of the Angola Assembly of God. She enjoyed watching her daughters play softball and granddaughters in their sporting events. Her passion was spending time with her family and was the “glue stick” of the family.   

Judith E. (Wiley) Underwood married George O. Underwood on August 22, 1964 at the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church, Pleasant Lake, IN. and he survives in Angola. Also surviving are two daughters, Victoria Sue (John) Xenias of Orland, and Kristi Jo Underwood, Ft. Wayne, two grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Roberts, Michelle L. Means, five great-grandchildren, Ryly Cummings, Jaxson Roberts, Landan Roberts, Aidan Kimmel, Mikaela Kimmel, one brother, Jack (Ann) Wiley, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Megan R. Kotowski on July 25, 2006.

Funeral Services for Judith E. Underwood will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Angola Assembly of God, 1405 Williams St. Angola with Rev. Jeffrey L. Gowen officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Hill Cemetery,  Angola, Indiana. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 3-7p.m. at the church, and also one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church from 10-11a.m. The family requests memorials be given in memory of Judith E. Underwood be directed to the family, in c/o George O. Underwood.
