Leonard L. "Jake" Petre

Butler:  Leonard L. “Jake” Petre, 84, died Monday, February 12, 2017 at Laurel’s of DeKalb in Butler.  Mr. Petre was born December 18, 1932 in Hamilton Indiana to the late Leonard J. and Edna (Rogers) Petre. He married Rosella P. (DePew) Petre on September 3, 1994 and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2005.   Mr. Petre worked for Universal Tool and Stamping in Butler for 13 years and retired from Hudson Industries with 12 years of service.  He was a former member of the Butler American Legion Post 202, Butler Eagles and the Hamilton Fish and Game.

Survivors:  Three sons; Kevin of Elkhart, IN., Dusty and Brian both of Ligonier, IN.  One step-daughter, Michelle Jones of Dahlonega, GA.  Four sisters; Lois Beavers of Edon, OH., Edna Brown of Angola, Zora Mae Robinette of North Carolina and Katie Suddeth of Leonidas, MI.

He was preceded in death by a brother; George Daniel Petre and three sisters; Dorothy Bents, Doris Cummings and Emma Summey.

Graveside services 11 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Cedar Creek Cemetery south of Garrett on 11A.
