Away unexpectedly Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1964 in Angola, IN.

Michael was proud to have served in the Indiana National Guard Armory from 1982 to 1988. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed learning about different species and maintaining bird feeders on his Angola property. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31 and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his children: April M. (Graves) Williams of Westland, MI and Ryan M. Graves of Arlington, TX; his father, Marshall W. Graves of Angola, IN; his mother, Twila (Carter) Wengerd of Angola, IN; his stepfather, Enos Wengerd of Angola, IN; his brother, Eric J. Graves of Angola, IN; his only grandchild, Landon C. Williams of Westland, MI. Also, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry W. & Lillie M. Graves and Norris M. & Margaret L. Carter. Also, aunts,uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for Michael Graves will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 12:00-2:00p.m. at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St, Angola.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Circle Cemetery in Hudson, IN.

In Lieu of flowers, family request memorials be given to: American Legion Post 31 of Angola, IN.
