Patricia L. Lonnecker

Angola:  Patricia L. Lonnecker, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at home with several close family members by her side.  She was born in Angola on January 28, 1939 to the late Eura Belle Bradley. Patricia married David P. Lonnecker in December of 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, and he preceded her in death in 1986.  She previously worked for Trans Guard in Angola for several years.  She loved her two dogs and enjoyed playing bingo at the American Legion Post 31, rooting for the Chicago Cubs, and doing crafts. She spent 60 of her years as a resident of Angola, where she earned the nickname “Grandma” from many of her fellow residents. Being true to her moniker, she always made sure that supper was on the table and that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren never went without.

She is survived by three daughters; Diane (Ryan) Howe of Angola, Debby (Ted) Henry of Fremont and Carla (Jim) Meyers of Marion, IN and 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, one son Patrick W. Garman, and one sister Jean Walker.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held Saturday July 8, 2017 from 11AM--1 PM at the H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West Street, Angola. 

The family has requested memorials in memory of Patricia L. Lonnecker be given to:  Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, 1700 N.  200 W. Angola, IN.  46703 or Cameron Home Health Care and Hospice, 302 E. Maumee St. Angola, IN. 46703.
