Richard Duane Lounsbury

Auburn, IN:  Richard D. Lounsbury, 69, formerly of Orland, IN., died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born October 27, 1948 in LaGrange to the late Harry and Evelyn (Rush)

Lounsbury.  Richard was a self-employed mechanic and did excavating.  He married Stella Irene (Mobley) Lounsbury on October 14, 1969 in Howe, IN.,  and she preceded him in death on

June 5, 2016.

Richard enjoyed racing modified cars for 20 years, hunting and watching football.

Surviving is one son; Ivan L.(Connie) Hinman of Inman, Missouri,  three daughters; Judy L. (Gordon) Mast of Angola, Nancy J. (Daniel) Lingner of Jesup, Georgia and Cindy S. (Gregory) Russell of Fremont.  Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one brother Butch (Jeanette) Lounsbury of LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by his wife Stella, one son Richard A. Lounsbury, two grandchildren;

Richard Cody Lounsbury and Dennis J. Wenzel, Jr.

 Keeping with Richard Lounsbury’s wishes cremation was requested and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN at a later date.
