Shirley "Shirl" Ann Shirmeyer

Shirley Ann (Shirl) Shirmeyer of Pleasant Lake, IN, passed away peacefully with her three daughter's by her side on May 23rd, 2017.  She was born in Upper Glade, West Virginia on February 2nd, 1937 to Luther and Eva (Wright) Williams.

"Momma Moose", as she was affectionately called by her children, was best known for her unrelenting strength, compassion and loving spirit. She is, and always will be, the loving Mother of her 5 children and 25 grand and great-grandchildren. After an extensive career in the medical field, Shirl opened Office Alternative, a business she took great pride in operating for more than 22 years. She is survived by her Son's Charley (Robin) Hanson, Parker (Cathy) Hanson, and daughter's Susan (Carl) Turner, Kate (Barry) Hanson-Williams, and Dawne (Dale) Branning, sister Jean Rigsby, brother Jerry (Phyllis) Williams and many, many much loved nieces and nephews.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, Luther & Eva Williams, her brothers Ford, Lyman, Lowell, Deral, Hank, Ralph, sister Flora, and her loving husband and soulmate Thomas Shirmeyer. She was also proceeded in death by Charles Hanson and George Granberry.
