St. Joe, IN: Thomas A. Mack, 77, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019.
He was born in Hillsdale, Michigan on July 19, 1941 to the late Richard and Juanita (Thomas) Mack. He married Shirley Coburn on May 30, 1956 and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2003.
Thomas served in the National Guard. He previously worked at Universal Tool & Stamping in Butler and then drove truck for Bohran Trucking in Garrett for 8 years. He was the Spencerville Fire Chief for many years and also worked for the Butler EMS. He was a member of the Auglaize Rough Riders Cowboy Club in Defiance, OH. and enjoyed restoring tractors and especially Wheel Horse Mowers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons; Kenneth (Tammy) Mack of Kendallville, Stan (Tammy) Mack of St. Joe and Allan (Shelley) Mack of St. Joe and one daughter; Kathy (James) Erne of St. Joe. Additional survivors include 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Roberta Crager of Butler and Christian Bughman of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, one son; Carlin Mack, four brothers; Franklin, Michael, Ronald and Richard Mack, two sisters; Lois Ritchey and Diana Kunce.
