Aneta J Powell

Angola: Aneta Joyce Powell, 75, died at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 28, 2020. She was born March 13, 1945 in rural Angola at home to the late Herman and Ruth H. (Wade) Wise. She attended Flint High School. On October 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bill L. Powell in Angola and he survives. Aneta had worked at the Cameron Elmhurst Hospital as a nurse’s aide, Angola nursing home as a CNA and she was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed feeding people and was known by her family for her scalloped potatoes. Her greatest passion was her family and grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, one son; Michael L. (Marcy) Powell of Finnville, MI, one daughter; Patricia A. Powell of Angola, one brother; Robert Wise of MA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Harold Wise, one sister; Betty Haviland and one half- sister; Thelma Antrup.
