Eldon G. Clark, 93, of Angola, was called to his eternal home with Jesus on Thursday April 20, 2023. He was a long-term resident of both Ft. Wayne and Angola, IN.
He was born July 13, 1929 in Ft. Wayne to Howard and Dora (Roller) Clark. He married Doris (Goeglein) Clark in 1953 and she preceded him in death July 9, 2007.
Eldon was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He retired from ABF Freight Lines in 1989 and spent a majority of his retirement at his home on Lake James.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont, IN. and Concordia Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, IN. He actively enjoyed genealogy, coin collecting, water and snow skiing and traveling.
He is survived by two daughters: Carla (Rex) Flenar, of Ft. Wayne and Denise (Jim) Mendenhall of Lake James.
Also grandchildren: Aaron (Stephanie) Flenar, Andrew Flenar, Leah Flenar, Chris (Ashley) Mendenhall, Nathan Mendenhall, and Troy Mendenhall: and great grandchildren, Clara Flenar, Eleanor Flenar, Kane Mendenhall, Emily Armstrong and Jonathan Armstrong. Also surviving is one brother, Don (Yvonne) Clark and one sister, Karan Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, one sister, Delores Fry and one brother, Ronald Clark.
Funeral services for Eldon G. Clark will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church, 355 E. St. Rd. 120, Fremont, IN with Rev. Douglas Croucher officiating. Burial will follow at West Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, IN.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5-7 pm at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St., Angola, IN 46703.
