Gerald "Jerry" M. Bobay

Angola:  Gerald “Jerry” M. Bobay, 79, passed away Friday,  January 15, 2021 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation in Angola.  He was born February 10, 1941 in Fort Wayne to the late Marshall A. and Grace Beatrice (Burns) Bobay.  Jerry graduated from Central High School Class of 1959 in Fort Wayne and received his Associate’s Degree in Drafting from Purdue University in Fort Wayne.  He was the drafting manager at Magnavox in Fort Wayne for 38yrs. and had Bobay Builders for 30 years.

 He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles and cars, ice fishing, making homemade ice shanty’s for people and just liked keeping busy.

 Surviving are 2 sons;  G.Trent (Stephanie) Bobay of Angola and Terry L. (Kristi) Bobay of Angola,  a daughter Tecia R. Wiersma and her fiancé Rob Giebel of Angola, two step-sons: Brent (Sarah) Franke of LaGrange and Brian (Laura) Franke of Metz.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a sister Cheryl (Bill) Bailey of Angola.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters and brother-in-laws:  Linda (Bob) Dunlap and Pat (Don) Melia.

 Private Graveside Services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont.

 Arrangements and assisting the family have been entrusted to H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home of Angola.
