Glyda M. (Heckathorn) Arnold

Pleasant Lake:  Glyda M. Arnold, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Aperion Care Angola. She was born May 5, 1931 at her family home in Pleasant Lake, IN., to Chester Sr. and Chloe (Sands) Heckathorn. She attended Pleasant Lake High School. Glyda was united in marriage to John M. Arnold on August 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1988. She retired from Universal Tool & Stamping, Butler after 29 years of employment. Following her retirement she worked at Community Living, Angola for 15 years. She spent her entire life serving the Lord and others and was known as a very loving and kind hearted individual.

She is survived by her family: Sheila (Keith) Lehman, Pleasant Lake, IN., Gloria (Michael) Ford, Hudson, IN., David (Beverly) McPherson, Hudson, IN., and Sam-Mantha (David) Postoloff, Angola, IN. Also surviving are several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Glyda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister and 1 grandchild.

Honoring Glyda’s request there will be no visitation and she will be laid to rest in Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, IN.  Family requests memorials be given in memory of Glyda M.
