Jane "Janie" M. Nance

Jane “Janie” M. Nance of Hamilton passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022 in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her family at her side.  Janie was born to Maurice and Catherine in Fort Wayne.  She was one of three daughters and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Janie fell in love and married her soulmate Scott Nance in 1987.  They enjoyed 14 years in hotel management in Siesta Key, Florida before retiring in 2020 back to their lake home in Hamilton where they enjoyed water skiing, golf cart rides and entertaining family on pontoon rides.  Janie was a positive, loving, kind and supportive wife, mother and grandmother.  Her smile and dazzling blue eyes lit up every room.  She enjoyed talking with everyone she met.  Janie was an amazing cook and enjoyed exploring new recipes.  She loved lavishly decorating her home for all holidays to host family gatherings.  She enjoyed a good walk on the beach and a sunset cocktail with Scott. 

She is survived by her loving husband Scott, her sister Linda (Kerry), six children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She is preceded by her parents, Maurice and Catherine, and her sister Judy (Tom).
