R. Lawrence “Skip” Klink, 85, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and formerly of Angola died Friday, July 2, 2021, CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Skip was born July 5, 1935, in Angola, to the late Harry and Leora (Van Aman) Klink.
Skip was a graduate of Angola High School and then went to Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Skip was a third generation licensed Funeral Director and the former owner of Klink Funeral Home.
Skip married his first wife, Susie (Mummert) Klink, she preceded him in death in 1986; he then married, Joan (Smolinske) Klink she preceded him in death in 2017.
Skip was a member of the Hot Springs Gold Wings Road Riders Association.
Skip was also a Mason for over 50 years.
Skip is survived by children, Mark (Patty) Klink of Angola and Julie West of Ohio; stepdaughters, Sherie (Daniel Sigler) Hampshire of Fort Wayne, Jeanna (Doug) Anderson of Angola, Darleana Crofoot of Angola, and Tereasa (Bradley) Gay of Fremont; step-brother, Pat Van Aman of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Skip was also preceded in death by a brother, H. Edwin “Eddie” Klink in 2017.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021, at H.E. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West Street, Angola, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Services will be private.
Skip will be laid to rest at Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola.
