Jerry W. Nichols

Orland:  Jerry W. Nichols, 72, died Friday August 7, 2015 at his home in rural Orland.

Mr. Nichols retired after 43 years from Moore’s Business Forms/RR Donnelly in 2005, where he was employed as Number Head Specialist. He was a graduate of Orland High School in 1961. He was a lifelong fan of Sprint Car racing, NASCAR, pro football and college basketball.

He was born July 20, 1943 in LaGrange Co. to the late Ray and Helen Anna (Lonsbury) Nichols.

He married Sharon M. (Sanders) Nichols on April 23, 1969 in LaGrange, IN., and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons; Doug R. Nichols, Edon, OH. and Brad W. Nichols, South Bend, one daughter; Angie R. Nichols, Angola. 3 grandchildren; Tyler, Trevor and Austin Gaiski and many nieces and nephews,  5 sisters; Bonnie Garman, Angola, Phyllis Anderson, Temple, TX, Illa Boyd, Indianapolis, Nancy Boyd, New Haven and Sue Garman, Grand Island, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Freda Foltz.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 10, 2015 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St., Angola, IN with Rev. Craig Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland.  Calling is Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2-5pm at the funeral home. Family request memorials to Cameron Home Healthcare and Hospice or Steuben Co. Humane Society.
