Phillip Steve Sanders

Kendallville:  Phillip Steven “Steve” Sanders, 81, formerly of Angola,  died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Chandler Place Assisted Living in Kendallville.  He retired from Moore Business Forms in Angola in 1993.  He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31.  He was born June 22, 1933 to Mark and Esther (Lemmon) Sanders in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.  Steve married Virgene Selking on June 29, 1962.  He is survived by his wife Virgene Sanders of Kendallville; a son and daughter-in-law Daniel W. and Lisa M. Sanders of Evansville; a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna S. and Nick Kariotakis of Naperville, IL; one sister-in-law Nancy A. Sanders of Angola; one grandson, Kyle T. Sanders of Evansville; along with several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Herb Sanders and his sister Barbara Hutmacher.

Funeral Services will be at 11AM, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1300 Williams St. Angola with calling 1 hour prior to services.  Rev. Daryl J. Emowrey and Rev. Donald E. Meyers will officiate.  Burial will immediately follow at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM, Friday June 26, 2015 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, 108 S. West St. Angola.
